Eurovision Song Contest: Johnny Logan's Record-Breaking Wins
Johnny Logan's Eurovision Triumphs
Irish singer-songwriter Johnny Logan has become the most successful individual in Eurovision Song Contest history, with a record-breaking three wins.
Multiple Victories as Performer and Songwriter
Logan first won the competition in 1980 as a performer with the song "What's Another Year?" He then triumphed again in 1987 as a songwriter with the entry "Hold Me Now," performed by Johnny Logan.
Logan's third and final victory came in 1992, when he both performed and wrote the winning song, "Why Me?" With these multiple wins, Logan has surpassed the previous record held by ABBA, who won the contest twice in 1974 and 1976.
