Saturday 20th January 2024
Paris La Defense Arena was less than kind to the Cardiff Rugby team as Racing 92 put on a masterful display on Saturday. The Investec Champions Cup match was all but over by half time with Racing 92 collecting 30 points.
Cardiff looked out of sorts from the start, with Racing 92 dominating possession. The visitors did manage to get on the board in the first half thanks to a penalty from Jarrod Evans but that was little consolation.
Racing 92 continued to pile on the points in the second half, with tries from Teddy Thomas, Virimi Vakatawa and Juan Imhoff. Cardiff did manage to score two tries of their own, through Aled Summerhill and Josh Adams, but it was not enough to prevent a heavy defeat.
